UBS Unveils Latest Philanthropy Offering For US Wealth Clients

UBS Financial Services has launched a new philanthropy offering for its US wealth management clients. The UBS Optimus Foundation is dedicated to the health, education and protection of children worldwide. Investors will be able to donate to the foundation through the recently-launched Friends of UBS Optimus Foundation Fund, which provides access to a network of community-based partner organizations. The new offering, made possible through a collaboration with the National Philanthropic Trust, will be led by Nicole Sebastian who has previously worked with the Robin Hood Foundation and UNICEF. The projects funded by the foundation reach 1.8 million children across 40 countries. As UBS covers all administrative costs, it directs 100 per cent of client donations to the chosen organizations. “Through the UBS Optimus Foundation, we can provide a unique giving experience that is aligned with clients’ overall wealth management goals. We are proud that our US clients now have the opportunity to invest in established programs that we believe will deliver tangible and measurable results,” said chief executive at UBS Group Americas, Bob McCann. Since its launch in 1999, the foundation has received over $250 million from 20,000 donations.
